ISE Stock Exchange Reaches New Daily Volume Record of Over 100 Million Shares

The International Securities Exchange (NYSE: ISE) announced that the ISE Stock Exchange set a new daily trading volume record of 106.6 million shares on September 7, 2007, surpassing the previous record of 94.2 million shares set on September 6, 2007.
"We are pleased to reach this significant volume milestone of over 100 million shares executed on the ISE Stock Exchange," said Andrew Brenner, head of the ISE Stock Exchange. "Average volume was more than 43 million shares per day in August and that momentum is continuing to build. We have made great strides in the one year since we launched the Exchange, and we remain focused on attracting new users to the platform and providing our members with the speed and trading functionality that are needed in today's marketplace."
