CBOE FILES FOR APPROVAL OF BINARY OPTIONS
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced it has submitted a rule filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to begin trading binary options on broad-based indexes.
CBOE initially plans to list binary options on the S&P 500 Index and, in the future, on other broad-based indexes, including the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The anticipated launch date is June 24, 2008.

JANUARY IS BUSIEST MONTH IN CBOE HISTORY
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that trading volume during January rose 81% to 110,831,088 contracts, up from January 2007's volume of 61,319,060 contracts. January 2008 was the busiest month in CBOE's 35-year history, surpassing the previous high of 105,551,741 contracts traded in August 2007.

2007 IS BUSIEST YEAR IN CBOE HISTORY
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that 2007 was the busiest year in CBOE history, as a total of 944,471,924 contracts traded, and the fourth consecutive year that CBOE experienced record trading volume. The 944.5 million contracts traded surpassed the 674,735,348 contracts traded in 2006, the previous record, by 40%.
